Furniture Making 201 W/ Adrian Summers

Taught by Adrian Summers, you’ll learn to construct a cabinet carcass and fit it with a frame and panel door and hand cut dovetailed drawer. Furniture Making 201 will cover design considerations, advanced joinery techniques, Basics and intermediate router table work, layout of materials, cutting sequence, gluing, squaring-up the assembly in proper sequence. Door construction will cover options to avoid warpage, expansion concerns, joinery, hardware selection, and getting a perfect fit. Hand-cut dovetail drawer construction will be covered as well as details of fitting & aligning. An understanding of proper material milling is required. Class consists of 9 three hour Wednesday night sessions. Class sessions are subject to change at the discretion of the Instructor.
