Get your hand plane working for you. Learn how to sharpen, set up and use your hand plane. In this skills-based class, you will take a used or out-of-the-box hand plane, sharpen it’s blade to a polished edge, set it up to take clean shavings and use it to plane a rough board to perfectly flat on both faces and square all the way around the edges.

Making lumber flat and square is the foundation for any woodworking project and learning to do it without power is a skill that has been around for thousands of years. Whether you want to work with hand tools only or supplement your power tool work, hand tool skills will make you a better woodworker.
