Have you had questions about the proper method of sanding a raw piece of wood for staining or finishing? This class should answer all of your questions and instruct you in the proper sanding techniques & methods, how to fill cracks in wood, differences between water-based and oil-based stains and different finishing products and methods.
This class will be taught by a finishing professional and he will discuss the pros and cons of different finishing and staining products, while you learn hands-on how to prepare maple and oak wood samples for staining and finishing.
Session 1 – will focus on preparing the wood and staining for achieving an even and consistent color.
Session 2 – will focus on top coats and applying finishes.
