Learn basic woodcarving techniques through Spoon Carving! Spoons can be carved from wood in very simple shapes for beginners or with very intricate designs to challenge to even the most experienced carvers.
The spoon is a simple, familiar object with concave and convex surfaces that provides a perfect introductory project to learn basic woodcarving. Each class participant will make a Celtic Love Spoon Carving over two 3-hour classes. This class provides instruction on woodcarving techniques and safety while working with hand-tools to create your very own spoon. The tools and materials for the class are included in the cost of the class, including the wood, sloyd knife, hook knife and sandpaper.
