BEGINNING SPOON CARVING
Learn basic wood carving techniques through Spoon Carving! Spoons can be carved from wood in very simple shapes for beginners or with very intricate designs to challenge even the most experienced carvers.
The spoon is a simple, familiar object with concave and convex surfaces that provides a perfect introductory project to learn basic wood carving. Each class participant will carve a Celtic Love Spoon over two 4-hour classes. This class provides instruction on woodcarving techniques and safety while working with hand-tools to create your very own spoon.
IMPORTANT
Students MUST purchase the Celtic Love Spoon Carving Kit ( item #187170) before the start of the class. This kit is available in our store at a 20% discount for students only.
Prerequisite: Whittling and Introduction to Carving or instructor’s permission.
