ages 11-15 years old.
This is a 2-week course designed to give middle and high school aged students a solid foundation in woodworking techniques. Class will meet on two consecutive Fridays from 6:30 – 8:30 PM and learn to mill the wood and parts necessary to make a catapult.
Students will learn basic tool use with an introduction to both power tools and hand tools, construction techniques and finishing applications. Class participants will use the jointer, planer, drill press, bandsaw, Festool track saw, disk sander and much more!
Expectations of Enrollment:
Please plan on remaining present for the duration of each class; we would like at least one parent present per class to help supervise (and who knows, you might learn something too!).
Also, please keep in mind that if your child has to miss a day of class for any reason, you will not be able to reschedule. If you would like to schedule a make-up class (for an additional fee) or if your child’s schedule doesn’t work with our class schedule, we offer 1-on-1 instruction which we can tailor to your availability.
