This class is perfect for anyone who has just purchased their first CNC or are contemplating it, but want to learn more before making that commitment.
In this class, you’ll get an overview of the history of CNC machining, then you’ll learn the basics for practical application. Focus will be on CNC routing, materials, tool selection and Vcarve software.
Students will see the process of designing and machining a basic sign. This class focuses on the entry level desktop/table top CNC machines from Next Wave Automation (NWA).

What you’ll see while attending class:
CNC Piranha with a variable speed router
CNC Shark HD5 with a water cooled spindle system
NWA CNC Touch Plate for tool measuring
Removable Dust Boot for optimal dust collection
Optional Safety Enclosure
