Making a Holiday Kiss-mas Tree is a one day workshop designed to give children between the ages of 8 – 11 years, a beginning foundation in woodworking techniques. Students will be predominantly using hand tools for safe construction with the exception of the battery powered hand drills and both manual and plug-in random orbital Festool sanders. All power tool preparation of materials will be done outside of class time to ensure safety of students. Tools used in class include: hammer, drill, screwdriver, pull and coping saws, ruler, tape measure, pliers, clamps, smoothing plane, sandpaper.
One parent is expected to stay with their child throughout the class.
