This workshop is designed to enable you to successfully make and understand the factors involved with boxes. You will make five (5) Shaker Oval Nesting Boxes, sizes #0-#4 from Pennsylvania cherry wood. You will carve the “swallow tails” and use copper tacks to hold them in place, steam bend each band, trace tops and bottoms, sand and fit the tops and bottoms. Then, without any glue, you will use wooden pegs to hold them in place. Finally, you will hand-rub two coats of finish on each box.
