This is a 6-week, after school course designed to give middle and high school aged students a solid foundation in woodworking techniques. Class will meet every Wednesday from 4pm-6pm through January 6.

Students will learn basic tool use with an introduction to both power tools and hand tools, construction techniques and finishing applications. Class participants will use the drill press, bandsaw, Festool track saw, disk sander and much more!

Students will make several projects:
1. Tool Box
2. Mechanical Wood Figurine
3. Lantern
4. Bird house

All materials for these projects are included in the cost of the class, as well as a woodworking starting kit. The kit is comprised of a work apron, safety glasses, ear plugs, a pica pencil, tape measure and stainless steel ruler, everything needed to get these students ready to start making!

Parents are encouraged, but not required, to sit in on each class. However, we do ask that at least one parent per class remains present during class time to help supervise.
